Polls
Create polls, track real-time results, and close them with a single command.
Polls are created in Discord and tracked from the Polls page in the dashboard. The goal is to document decisions with numbers instead of endless debates.
Create a poll
The command doesn't open a modal — everything is filled in with the command options: question, then option1 and option2 (required), and option3, option4, and option5 (optional). That means a maximum of 5 options, and duplicates are rejected.
Results update in real-time on the same message, and the poll ID appears below the message — keep it handy, as you'll need it to end the poll manually.
Choose duration and poll type
Three fields completely change how the poll behaves:
Duration — Preset options: No duration (manual) · 5 minutes · 15 minutes · 30 minutes · 1 hour · 6 hours · 12 hours · 1 day · 3 days · 1 week. If set, the poll closes automatically, and the timer persists even if Lona restarts.
Multiple choice — Lets members pick more than one option. Great for "What times work for you?" but not for binary decisions.
Hidden results — Hides numbers until the poll ends, showing blurred bars instead. This is the most important option for sensitive polls: if results are visible right away, late voters tend to follow the leading option instead of sharing their honest opinion.
Track from the polls page
The page displays all your server's polls — live results, with three stats on top: Total polls, Open now, and Total votes. Above them are filter tabs: All · 🗳️ Open · 🔒 Closed.
The real value of the page is revealing forgotten polls — the "Open" tab instantly shows you what has been running for two weeks and forgotten. Each card indicates if the poll has multiple choices or hidden results, and when it ends.
End and lock the results
/تصويت قائمة displays open polls in an ephemeral message visible only to you, including the ID, voter count, and end time — up to 15 polls.
/تصويت انهاء asks for the ID shown at the bottom of the poll message. It can only be run by the poll creator or any member with the Manage Server permission — so no one closes someone else's poll.
How the system works
Polls in Lona are fast and organized. With /تصويت انشاء, you fill in the fields directly with the command — the question, two required options, and up to three optional ones — and results update in real time on the message itself.
You can set a duration so it closes automatically, allow multiple choices, and hide results until it closes.
/تصويت انهاء closes the poll and locks the result, while /تصويت قائمة displays all open polls so you don't forget one that's been running for a week. The Polls page in the dashboard gathers them all with filters: All · Open · Closed.
