Information & Utilities
Detailed information on any member, role, or channel, plus a full daily utility toolbox.
Commands in this section are used from Discord, but managed entirely on the Moderation page — the same page where you configure moderation actions. Information commands are included there because they share the same permissions engine. Below explains the tools themselves, then how to control who can use them and where.
Investigation tools
!whois @عضو is more powerful than !userinfo — it gathers everything and flags suspicious signs (new account, no avatar, odd patterns).
With !من_دعاني @عضو you find out who invited them, and !joined shows when they joined and their join order.
Retrieval tools
!snipe retrieves the last deleted message, and !editsnipe displays the previous text of an edited message. Lifesavers during disputes.
Control who uses each tool and where
Every command in this section has its own settings page with three key toggles that resolve most "command not working" issues:
Enable Command — if disabled, moderators cannot use it at all. Note the warning below it: *The server owner can always use it* — so do not test disabling it using your account if you are the owner, as you will not see any difference.
Allowed Roles — more important than you might think. When empty = Discord default permissions apply, meaning anyone with the appropriate Discord permission can use the command. Once you add a role, that role becomes an additional bypass path — useful for giving a "Helper" role info commands without granting actual Discord permissions.
Allowed Channels — empty = works in all channels. Add your bot commands channel here if you want to prevent !snipe and !userinfo from cluttering general channels.
Clean up command channels automatically
Info commands generate a lot of messages — twenty !userinfo calls will bury the chat.
Auto-delete bot response (seconds) makes Lona delete its reply after a duration you choose: Do not delete · 5s · 10s · 30s · 1m · 5m. The maximum is 300 seconds, and 0 disables auto-deletion.
Practical tip: 10 seconds for quick-read commands like !ping and !color, and "Do not delete" for commands you need to reference like !whois and !snipe.
The Bot Response tab is locked for info commands — customizing the response format is only available for moderation commands, because info command responses are data embeds, not plain text messages.
How the system works
This section is a daily toolbox — small commands that save a lot of time.
Investigation: !whois is more powerful than !userinfo — it aggregates full member details and flags suspicious signs (new account, no avatar, odd patterns).
Retrieval: !snipe retrieves the last deleted message, and !editsnipe shows the previous text of an edited message. Very helpful during disputes.
Time: !remind for personal reminders, !countdown for a live event countdown, and !timestamp generates dynamic timestamps that adjust to each member's local time.
A suspicious member joined the server
!whois @عضو — full details + suspicious flags!joined @عضو — join date and position!من_دعاني @member — Who invited themSomeone deleted an important message
!snipe — Last deleted message!editsnipe — If they edited it instead of deleting it!timestamp solves timezone differences — every member sees the time in their local timezone.!quote takes a message ID, not a mention — enable Developer Mode in Discord and right-click the message to copy its ID. It displays an embed with the content, author, timestamp, and a jump link to the original.!color FF5733 gives you the color in three formats at once: HEX, RGB, and HSV — handy when styling role colors.!ui for !userinfo, !sn for !snipe), and you can add custom ones from the command page in the dashboard.!snipe only stores the last message per channel in the bot's memory — meaning any restart or update clears what was saved. It is not an archive or a replacement for audit logs.!remind is a temporary reminder stored in the bot's session — if the bot restarts before the time comes, the reminder will be lost. Do not rely on it for critical reminders.!encode is just Base64 encoding — it is not encryption, and anyone can decode it instantly. There is also no command to decode it inside Lona.!enlarge and !stealemoji only work with custom emojis. If you provide a default Discord emoji, it will respond asking for a custom emoji.!countdown has a maximum duration of 1 day. If you need a timer for a future event further out, use !timestamp.
