Automation & auto-responders
Auto-responders, scheduled announcer, auto-reactions, and notifications.
Auto-responders are the easiest system to set up and the riskiest if configured incorrectly. Match mode is everything — read step two carefully.
Add a new auto-responder
The page first shows your stats: total responders, active ones, trigger count, and the most used responder. Useful for cleaning up unused triggers.
Choose the match mode — the most critical step
Four modes, each with its use case:
Contains word — triggers if the word appears anywhere. Broadest and riskiest: a word like "Lona" will reply to every message mentioning the bot's name.
Exact match — the message must match the word verbatim. Safest for short words.
Starts with — great for pseudo-commands like "how".
Ends with — rare, but useful.
Configure additional options
Reply to user — sends a linked Reply to their message, clearer in busy channels
Send a new message — standalone response
Delete command message — cleans up the channel, useful for repetitive triggers
And Cooldown prevents spam — without it, anyone spamming the keyword 10 times will make Lona reply 10 times.
Choose and design your response type
Plain text, full embed, image only, or random responses — write multiple responses and Lona picks one each time, keeping things fresh.
With an embed, you can add up to 3 buttons in different colors or a link button.
{user} · {username} · {server} · {channel} · {count}How the system works
Automation keeps your server running while you sleep. You have three tools:
Autoresponders — specify a keyword and a response. The smart part is the matching mode, with five options:Contains — triggers if the keyword is anywhere in the message (default)Exact match — the message must match the keyword exactlyStarts with — the message starts with the keywordEnds with — the message ends with the keywordRegex — advanced pattern for regex users
The response itself can be plain text, a colored embed, or include buttons that link to URLs.
Variables personalize the response: {user} mentions the member, {username} their username, {server} server name, {channel} channel name, {count} member count.
Auto broadcaster posts embeds on a recurring schedule — reminders, rules, or recurring announcements. Set it up once and it runs on its own.
Auto reactions automatically adds reactions to messages in a specific channel — great for suggestions and media channels.
